(a) The Nation Newspaper on page 9 reports that the gree’n’lectric, a digital publication which promotes environmental sustainability will boast Sahara power group’s resolve to seek environmentally – relevant options and solutions in its operations. This has been launched at Egbin Power Plant.

(b) The Nation Newspaper on page 9 reports that a payment platform in partnership with IRecharge Tech-Innovation- a payment solution platform provider, to ease payment of bills has been launched to ease payment difficulties to Consumers on the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC).
The paper further stated that the Director Dr. Tinuade Sanda has assured the customers that the platform was not only fast and convenient, but was also safe for them to make their transactions.

VANGUARD
(a) The Vanguard Newspaper on page 19 reports that the Power Purchase Agreement PPA, with electricity generation companies, GenCos, for supply of 5,505 megawatts (MW) of electricity for peak generation and a base lead of 4,893MW has partially been activated by the Federal Government.
The paper further stated that the agreement guarantees payment for gas supplied to the GenCos by gas Companies and also ensures that the generation companies are paid for power supplied to the national grid.

(b) The Vanguard Newspaper on page 12 reports that a bill seeking to repeal law on Rural Electricity has scaled second reading in Edo State House of Assembly after fifty years of establishing the Rural Electricity Board by the government late Brig-Gen Samuel Ogbemudia in the defunct mid-west state.
The paper further stated that the bill, which had been amended by the National Assembly, grants the State House of Assembly the power to address the issue of electricity generation, transmission and distribution.
