Nation Newspaper page 5and Vanguard page 11 all reported that, the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), has rejected the plan to privatize the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), The Union said the move would be in favour of the FG and to the detriment of the Nigerian masses.

Nation Newspaper page 27reports that, the Members of Developing Eight Organization for Economic Cooperation (D-8) Countries have indicated their readiness to support Nigeria’s Energy Transition Plan. The paper stated that the Federal Government delegation was led by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Power, Mr. Nebeolisa Anako, to the D-8 Secretariat in Istanbul. According to the Secretary General of D-8 Ambassador Isiaka Imam, made this known when he received some Directors of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET) Plc., who visited Republic of Turkey recently to sign a partnership deal with Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST).

Daily Trust Newspaper page 26 reports that, Dr. Ferdinand Giadom, who is the project coordinator of the Hydrocarbon pollution Remediation (HYPREP), said President Muhammadu Buhari, had approved the connection of the entire Ogoni Communities to the National grid through the Ogoni integrated power project.
Giadom, stated this on Monday at the Ogoni power project stakeholder’s sensitization and engagement forum at Kpor, headquarters of Gokana LGA of Rivers State. He, further stated that, a specialist hospital has been established, for the people of Ogoni.
