Daily Sun Newspaper page 21 reports that the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), has lamented that power investors that purchased assets of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), lack the technical competence and financial muscle to turn around the fortunes of the sector. Zonal Organizing Secretary, Edo/Delta Generation and Transmission Zone, Mr. Nash Shaibu, stated this at a media briefing in Benin.

Daily Sun Newspaper page 25 reports that, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), and Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), were at loggerheads over electricity supply to Kano Airport at the weekend. Members of staff of NAMA, including Air traffic controllers were cut off from electricity supply over a N500 million debt owed FAAN.

Nation Newspaper page 19 reports that, Ikeja Electric, has urged customers to disregard reports linking the company with blackout in Lagos. Company’s Head of Corporate Communications, Felix Ofulue, said the information was misleading and sensational, as its ongoing project across the state will improve power supply.
